Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (such as skid steers and concrete mixers) after proper training.
- General Labor: Perform various manual tasks including mixing concrete, cleaning work areas, and assisting skilled tradespeople with specific project tasks.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations before final inspection.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with foremen and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Entry Level Open: No prior construction experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to safety protocols and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime when necessary.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license and a social security card.
