Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, marking areas, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic Labor Support: Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, carrying heavy loads, and cleaning work areas to maintain site organization.
- Tool Operation: Learn to operate and handle basic hand tools and power equipment under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson.
- Site Maintenance: Ensure the work site is clean, organized, and compliant with all OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Crew Collaboration: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other trades with general labor needs as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work full-time hours.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior construction experience is required. A strong desire to learn new skills and follow instructions is essential.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to follow safety protocols and work effectively within a team.
- Safety Conscious: Awareness of workplace hazards and a commitment to wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Valid ID: Must have a valid government-issued ID or driverβs license.
