Responsibilities
- Site Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople with various tasks including digging, carrying materials, and cleaning work areas.
- Material Handling: Load and unload lumber, bricks, concrete, and tools safely and efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment under supervision.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Measurement & Mixing: Assist in basic measurements and mixing of cement or drywall compound as directed.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior construction experience is necessary; we will train the right candidate.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the job site in the Fresno area.
- Communication Skills: Basic English skills required to understand instructions and safety briefings.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or early mornings if needed.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
