Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites using hand trucks, forklifts, and manual labor.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as needed to ensure projects progress efficiently.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools safely and according to operational guidelines.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness of the job site, removing debris and waste to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Teamwork: Must work well in a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to group dynamics.
