Job Overview
The Construction Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to assist with building and repairing structures. You will work closely with foremen and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet our high standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, tamping, and hauling materials on job sites.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with daily operations and site preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely and correctly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in general construction or skilled trades is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
