Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, and moving materials on and off construction sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various tasks as needed.
- Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the job site remains clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring, tiling, or painting as directed by supervisors.
- Perform site cleanup and waste removal at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction labor or general labor is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights (if applicable).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials.
