Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with daily construction tasks and project execution.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools, including skid steers, forklifts, and saws, ensuring safe operation.
- Prepare construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and setting up scaffolding.
- Load and unload construction materials, lumber, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Mix concrete, mortar, and other building materials to exact specifications.
- Monitor site cleanliness and maintain a hazard-free environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform basic site measurements and assist with blueprint reading to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school certification is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength required to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols strictly.
- Strong team collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
