Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and earthmoving tasks using heavy machinery
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with material handling and equipment operation
- Maintain clean, organized job sites by sorting debris and operating waste removal systems
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and conduct daily equipment inspections
- Operate power tools including jackhammers, saws, and pneumatic nailers
- Assist in concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes
- Participate in emergency response protocols for on-site incidents
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Class B CDL license preferred (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction machinery
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement calculation skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and nights
