Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stack materials: Ensure construction sites are stocked with necessary supplies like lumber, drywall, and tools.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the job site by digging, leveling, and clearing debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate Basic Machinery: Safely operate power tools, jackhammers, and other light construction equipment as directed by the foreman.
- Assist Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by carrying tools and materials to the job site.
- General Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant site by sweeping, hauling trash, and removing scrap materials.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is required to transport materials and travel between job sites.
- Safety Awareness: Previous experience in construction or a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from site supervisors effectively.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dedicated, and willing to work in varying weather conditions.
