Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing, loading, and cleaning.
- Machinery Operation: Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and jackhammers under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and distribute them to the correct work areas.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by performing necessary manual labor tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets the high standards of Apex General Contractors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for site access.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and dependable.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
