Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials at job sites.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with daily tasks.
- Measurement & Cutting: Measure, cut, and shape materials according to blueprints and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and site regulations.
- Equipment Support: Operate and maintain power tools and heavy machinery under supervision.
- Cleanup: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Experience: Prior construction experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Weather Tolerance: Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math: Proficiency in basic measurements and calculations.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
