Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power washers under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- General Labor: Perform general cleanup duties, including sweeping, hauling trash, and ensuring the worksite remains organized.
- Assist Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and other skilled professionals with necessary tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor, general labor, or a related field is preferred but not always required (willing to train).
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
