Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment (saws, drills, etc.) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and site preparation
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Support concrete pouring, form setup, and finishing tasks
- Participate in equipment maintenance and daily site inspections
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Experience with forklifts or similar heavy equipment a plus
