Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing and preparing construction sites, including excavation, grading, and debris removal.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and organize them at the job site.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic heavy machinery and tools (such as skid steers, forklifts, and jackhammers) under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and report hazards immediately.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe to prevent accidents and delays.
- Assistance: Help skilled tradesmen with various tasks, including concrete pouring, framing support, and general carpentry duties.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-75 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday) and occasional overtime.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to get to the Nashville/NC job sites.
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; we provide training for motivated candidates.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
