Responsibilities
- Perform general physical labor on construction sites, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily tasks and project needs.
- Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams when necessary.
- Perform site preparation, including digging, pouring concrete, and framing.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands require.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not always required.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
