Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and site cleanup
- Operate basic hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material preparation and equipment setup
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Complete daily task logs and progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to travel within Orleans Parish
