Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and marking designated areas
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and tool management
- Operate light machinery (concrete mixers, jackhammers) and power tools under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Read blueprints and interpret construction plans to execute tasks accurately
- Perform site cleanup and waste disposal according to environmental regulations
- Complete daily progress reports and communicate project updates to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule (including weekends)
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
