Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, etc.) with construction projects
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Transport materials and equipment using manual or mechanical methods
- Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to site supervisors
- Maintain accurate time logs and daily progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical activity
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (training provided if needed)
