Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled tradespeople with daily project tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site.
- Operate basic construction equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and generators.
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, marking boundaries, and setting up temporary workstations.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, concrete, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform minor site cleanup and waste removal after work is completed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Basic math skills for measuring dimensions and estimating material needs.
- Willingness to travel between Detroit, MI, and various locations in Ohio.
- Familiarity with power tools (drills, saws) and hand tools is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in various weather conditions.
