Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures as directed.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery safely under the supervision of experienced foremen and safety officers.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with various on-site tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by cleaning up spills, debris, and following OSHA regulations.
- Documentation: Help maintain daily logs and reports regarding site progress, material usage, and safety observations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred; however, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and availability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus, but not strictly required.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
