Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks like concrete pouring, framing, and demolition
- Operate hand tools and light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, drills)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated locations
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project instructions
- Perform site cleanup and waste disposal according to regulations
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous tasks in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and safety practices
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Team player with strong communication skills
