Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by cleaning areas, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Support Tasks: Perform basic carpentry, framing, and drywall hanging under the supervision of skilled foremen.
- Demolition: Assist in the safe demolition of structures and removal of debris and waste materials.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and tools (e.g., forklifts, compressors) safely and effectively.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets project specifications and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general labor, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Safety Conscious: Strong understanding of basic construction safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Tools: Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
