As a Laborer at Apex, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring our projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties on construction sites, including digging, carrying materials, and cleaning work areas.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly under the supervision of a foreman.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and distribute them to designated areas.
- Assist with site preparation, including spreading gravel, setting forms, and mixing concrete.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Signal operators of heavy equipment to assist in moving loads, when necessary.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety protocols is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
