Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and masons, by measuring, cutting, and preparing materials.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all OSHA safety regulations and cleanup protocols.
- Concrete Work: Help with concrete pouring, finishing, and basic forms as needed for ongoing projects.
- Demolition: Perform light demolition tasks, including breaking concrete and removing old materials.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred.
- Safety: Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
