Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Clear debris, level ground, and prepare construction sites for upcoming work phases.
- Tool & Equipment Handling: Assist in the setup and maintenance of basic construction machinery and power tools.
- Trade Assistance: Provide hands-on support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades during various project phases.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized worksite by cleaning up spills, debris, and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor for 8+ hours a day, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on concrete.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to maintain a consistent attendance record for weekly pay.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Driver's License: Valid California Driver's License is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in general labor or construction is preferred but not mandatory; we value attitude and willingness to learn.
- Safety Awareness: Familiarity with basic construction safety procedures is a plus.
