Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Lead the end-to-end operational strategy for the 2026 World Cup project, aligning with FIFA standards and host nation requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with government bodies, sponsors, and international vendors to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.
- Resource Allocation: Manage multi-million dollar budgets and allocate resources efficiently across diverse teams and geographies.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement robust contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges during the event lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a global team of project managers, logistics experts, and operational staff to foster a culture of high performance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to local, national, and international safety regulations and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, specifically within large-scale events, sports, or government infrastructure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification is mandatory.
- Global Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultural contexts.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of resolving complex logistical and operational issues under tight deadlines.
