Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Perform basic hand and power tool operations, including drilling, cutting, and stripping wires, under supervision.
- Prepare job sites by laying out materials, cleaning work areas, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Read and understand basic electrical blueprints and schematics with guidance.
- Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations at all times.
- Document work completed and report any material shortages or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willingness to obtain an Electrical Journeyman license upon completion of training.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn and a proactive attitude toward safety.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
