Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Work closely with experienced Journeyman Electricians to execute residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Site Preparation: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by unloading materials, laying out tools, and clearing debris.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Learn to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- System Testing: Assist in testing electrical circuits and systems to ensure they operate correctly and safely.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Material Management: Handle and inventory electrical components, ensuring accuracy and reducing waste.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical school certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and potential overtime during peak seasons.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
