As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of licensed journeymen to gain hands-on experience while contributing to essential residential and commercial projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan work accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager and foreman regarding progress and safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and heights.
- Strong desire to learn and obtain a Journeyman Electrician license.
