Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials, tools, and equipment.
- Install conduits, wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret basic electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and power tools.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and local building codes.
- Keep work sites clean and organized, including daily cleanup and debris removal.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Willingness to enroll in and complete an state-recognized Electrical Apprenticeship program.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
