Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
- Install and terminate wiring, conduits, and fixtures using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project progress and issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; technical school certification is a plus.
- Must be willing to learn: We provide on-the-job training for candidates with no prior electrical experience.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as project demands require.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
