Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping wire, connecting terminals, and mounting outlets and switches.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Operate power tools and testing equipment under direct supervision.
- Transport materials and tools to job sites as needed.
- Document work completed and report any safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We provide full training; a strong willingness to learn is the only prerequisite.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical stamina to work on ladders, in crawl spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain a valid New York State Electrician License upon completion of apprenticeship.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
