Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, stripping insulation, and connecting terminals.
- Ensure all work sites remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Operate power tools and testing equipment safely and correctly.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required for apprenticeship programs.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with measurements and calculations.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to pursue a long-term career in electrical work.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
