Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations and repairs.
- Perform basic electrical tasks including stripping wire, mounting outlets, and installing light fixtures.
- Ensure all work adheres to local Virginia building codes and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Use hand and power tools correctly and safely to complete tasks efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the team and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
- Willingness to obtain required electrical licenses and complete apprenticeship training programs.
- Physically fit and able to work in various conditions (climbing ladders, bending, lifting heavy objects).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic math skills are helpful for measuring and cutting materials.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
