Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Perform basic tasks such as stripping wire, pulling cable, mounting outlets, and installing lighting fixtures.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical schematics to understand project layouts.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Learn and apply local and national electrical codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation for travel to North Carolina sites.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine desire to learn a skilled trade.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required for this entry-level position.
