Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan projects.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Communicate with customers to explain work performed and answer questions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Must be willing to obtain required state certifications and licenses.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and climb ladders as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for calculating loads and measurements.
