Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and wire strippers, to complete basic wiring tasks.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Strong desire to learn and a willingness to get dirty.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime.
