Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Support journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment during night operations.
- Equipment Management: Properly handle, organize, and maintain tools, meters, and electrical components.
- Blueprint & Schematic Reading: Learn to read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and diagrams to understand circuit layouts and wiring plans.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist in testing circuits and diagnosing simple electrical faults to ensure proper functionality.
- Site Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: Or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Willingness to Learn: No formal electrical experience required, but a strong desire to learn the trade is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver's license is preferred for site travel.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
