Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical layouts.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Ensure all work strictly complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in adherence to OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License in New York State (or equivalent certification).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification is highly preferred.
