Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including excavation, framing, and concrete pouring
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to meet OSHA standards
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Follow blueprints and instructions from site supervisors
- Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard prevention
- Support various trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions (heat, rain, humidity)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across New Orleans
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
