Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling and equipment operation
- Perform site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read basic blueprints and execute construction tasks under supervision
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Load/unload materials and transport supplies to job sites
- Complete daily documentation and report work progress to supervisors
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with valid ID
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Columbus metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (will train if needed)
