Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and basic tasks
- Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision (e.g., drills, saws, jackhammers)
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout construction phases
- Follow blueprints and instructions from site supervisors accurately
- Participate in daily safety briefings and adhere to OSHA standards
- Transport materials and equipment using carts, dollies, and forklifts (training provided)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license with clean record (for equipment operation)
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with consistent attendance
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
