Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for reading measurements and calculations.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and access job sites in the Detroit area.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- No prior electrical experience is necessary; on-the-job training is provided.
