Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of materials and waste.
- Operate power tools, testing equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical faults under direct supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety).
