Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and material handling at construction sites
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing equipment
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks like concrete pouring, framing, and demolition
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications accurately
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, dollies, and forklifts (certification provided)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across central Illinois
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow instructions precisely
