Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and equipment operation
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely using proper techniques and tools
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements
- Maintain clean, organized job sites by removing debris and following OSHA safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) and light machinery (compactors, mixers) under supervision
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality standards
- Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic with punctual, reliable attendance record
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently as needed
