Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists in prototype development
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with competitive threat analysis
- Develop patent strategies for novel human-computer interaction methodologies
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on tech adoption trajectories
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets with ROI-focused technology investments
- Forge strategic alliances with academic institutions and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AI, neurotech) with peer-reviewed publications
- Proven track record of launching products generating >$100M ARR
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proficiency in technology forecasting tools (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Experience managing distributed innovation teams across 3+ time zones
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management preferred
