Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market evolution and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, biotech convergence, AI ethics)
- Collaborate with C-suite to translate innovation into scalable commercial solutions
- Manage $15M+ annual R&D budget across 8 global innovation labs
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA JPL for cutting-edge research
- Present technology forecasts to Fortune 500 clients and industry consortiums
- Oversee patent portfolio development for 2026-era innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proven track record scaling tech initiatives from prototype to market
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or climate tech
- Certification in Technology Strategy from Stanford/MIT (preferred)
- Experience securing federal/state grants for R&D projects
- Fluency in Mandarin/Spanish for global stakeholder engagement
