The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, possesses deep domain expertise in emerging tech, and excels at translating complex concepts into actionable strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech interfaces) with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology integration across product lines, aligning with 2026 market projections
- Conduct competitive analysis and disruption assessments for industry verticals
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align technical teams on future-state capabilities
- Present technology scenarios to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage vendor partnerships and academic collaborations in cutting-edge R&D
- Author thought leadership on technological foresight and innovation strategy
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation consulting with focus on emerging tech
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Policy
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex systems and scenarios
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing strategic decisions
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry publications
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight preferred
