Responsibilities
- Analyze global technological, social, and economic trends to forecast industry shifts through 2026
- Develop actionable innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate future-facing products and services
- Produce high-impact trend reports and scenario planning documents for executive leadership
- Partner with product teams to integrate future insights into development cycles
- Represent Horizon Labs at industry conferences and thought leadership forums
- Monitor emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for strategic applications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in innovation consulting, R&D, or strategic foresight roles
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and strategic roadmapping
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence C-suite executives
- Portfolio of published trend reports or innovation frameworks
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS)
